Post by Reddi1 »

The General Data Protection Regulation has been in force for more than two years and has forced companies to apply much stricter measures regarding the processing of their customers' data. Have companies adapted to the GDPR law? What are the 7 key points to which we should pay attention?
In May 2018, the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force , which brings to Spain the guidelines on information protection that were designed in the European Union, with the commitment of the States to apply the different measures. GDPR: new developments in data processing
The GDPR is part of the European Union's Data Protection turkey phone number data Guidelines and sets out specific requirements for companies and organisations regarding the collection, storage and management of personal data. The risks of incorrect data handling under the GDPR are reduced as the obligations of companies are stepped up. The regulation applies in the following cases:

Companies that process personal data and are based in the European Union , regardless of where the data processing is carried out.

Companies that are based outside the European Union but process personal data relating to offers of goods or services to EU citizens , or monitor the behaviour of EU citizens. If a company is not based within the EU but does collect information from EU citizens, it must appoint a representative in our territory.

When we talk about data in the GDPR we are referring to information related to an identifiable person, such as their name and surname, address, ID/passport number, income, IP and so on.

The arrival of the GDPR meant a major change in the data protection policies of companies in Spain, although it was a gradual change. A period of about 2 years was given for companies to adapt their protocols, which until then were regulated by Directive 95/46 of 1995. One aspect of companies that has been particularly affected by the GDPR is marketing.
