Coming back from vacation is always tough. No matter where we've been, what we've been doing, or how much free time we've had, the first day of work after a summer of fun feels like a cold shower to all of us. The vacation we've been waiting for like a frosty sun has flown by at the speed of light, and we've found ourselves back in the office, tanned from the summer sun and totally unprepared for new work challenges.
It's not uncommon for people to feel like they need another vacation after a vacation because the return feels like a slap in the face. However, there are a few simple and practical steps you can take in your work environment to make your return as painless as possible!
a) Return from your trip at least two days before returning to work
We definitely recommend leaving one day between your lithuania whatsapp data return from your trip and your first day at work. Use that day to rest from your trip, do some grocery shopping, clean your apartment, cook a few meals for you and your family, and basically prepare for your return to work tomorrow. Yes, this means one less day of rest for you, but the benefits of this “sacrifice” are manifold. Namely, that one day of early return will really mean a lot to you (physically, psychologically, and mentally), unlike the scenario where you return from your trip the evening before returning to work.
b) Prepare for the first day of work
We are sure that you will have difficulty falling asleep due to the excitement the night before your first day of work – this is completely normal. However, despite this, we advise you to get up a little earlier the next morning and arrive at work before everyone else. This extra time will allow you to have a coffee in peace, open your emails and do your morning routine at the office. This will also allow you to greet your colleagues and boss first, which will certainly leave a positive impression on them, because in their eyes you will appear conscientious and responsible. Because of all this, it is possible that you will probably be more tired than usual on your first day of work (despite the excitement and adrenaline), so be careful not to exhaust yourself beyond your limits.
c) Make your schedule carefully
Try not to overload your schedule with obligations, otherwise the rest and good mood you brought back from your vacation could disappear like an eraser. If you can, avoid all meetings and stressful conversations with clients, and instead dedicate the day to getting information about what happened while you were away. Do not “jump” on all the work tasks that have awaited you, but first focus on priorities. In case there is really a lot of work, solve the “urgent” ones first, coordinate with your superiors, and be sure to keep the bigger picture in mind – is it really necessary to complete a task right now, or can it wait.
