All specialists whose activities are related to the promotion and improvement of any product or service use A/B testing. In order to obtain a positive result in the planned changes, it is necessary to use this method. It will help to determine the positive and negative aspects of the idea, to draw a conclusion about the feasibility of the idea.
A/B testing is a bridge between the developer and the consumer. A link that informs owners about the audience's requests, tastes and desires. Using such tests helps develop the product being implemented and meet the client's requirements.
If you, as an owner, rely only on your own opinion, more flexible competitors in the industry will use A/B testing to determine consumer needs. Competitors will make their product more attractive and engage your audience.
Who needs A/B engineer database testing and when
Reasons to conduct A/B tests:
getting acquainted with the opinions of users regarding the changes made;
there is the required number of users and information;
you have ideas for changes and time to test them;
This is the best way to obtain the necessary data before approving innovations.
If the sample is not very large, there is a risk of drawing erroneous conclusions. Some subtle trends may be missed by the researcher if there are not enough people being tested. In order to capture subtle fluctuations and needs in a small audience, it is necessary to increase the duration of the test. However, this step does not make sense, because A/B testing exists for quick decision making.

Types of A/B testing
There are four main types of A/B testing:
Simple. This method is used as follows: two versions of the product are compared - the control, i.e. the current (original), and the test, i.e. the modified. As a rule, a simple type of research is used to check one element that does not affect the overall structure of the site.
A/B/n test. It involves studying several elements on the same page. Based on its results and taking into account conversion rates, one option is selected from all tested: the one that received the most user responses.
Multivariate (multivariate, multivariate). The method is suitable for comparing not individual elements, but their combinations. This happens in the same way as in the previous version - on one page. The test data will be accurate if the number of elements is no more than 2-3. Otherwise, the result may be distorted.
"Bayesian Multi-Armed Bandit" is a test that results in self-optimization.
