Prezi - presentations for the 21st century

Post by mostakimvip06 »

Since we first came across Prezi many years ago in our marketing agency , we knew right away that all subsequent presentations would be made in this application. The WOW effect that accompanied each presentation only confirmed this belief. One of the branches of our business is online marketing training, so an excellent tool for creating presentations is indispensable for us.

Virtually every recipient of our training or potential client who sees Prezi for the first time is delighted and also wants to use it in their own company. Today I would like to briefly present the possibilities of the Prezi application.

Summary
Prezi - what is it?
Prezi is an application available online - it allows you to create multimedia presentations in an attractive and modern form. Prezi uses the zoom mediation, which allows users to enlarge and reduce their presentations and to display and move between its individual elements along axes in a space conventionally designated as 2.5D.

Prezi was developed by Hungarian architect Adam Somlai-Fischer as an architectural visualization tool.

How to start?
To start using Prezi, simply register and choose whether you want to use the free version (of course, very limited, but you can still use it) or one of the paid versions (with all the bells and whistles).

There are several versions, so everyone will find something for themselves. Each version has a 14-day trial period, during which we can see the possibilities and decide whether we want to pay for it or not.

Creating a presentation in Prezi
You can create presentations in Prezi based on ready-made templates or your armenia telemarketing data own ideas, creating a unique presentation that will blow your audience away.

There are plenty of ready-made templates, divided into categories, so you don't have to waste time inventing your own. However, if someone has an idea for their own presentation, it's no problem - we start a new, empty template and give free rein to our imagination.

Even when using ready-made templates, we can personalize them. We can change colors, backgrounds, fonts, arrows, or the appearance of the slides themselves. In layman's terms - everything is as simple as a flail construction, and using industry terminology - UX at the highest level.

We can easily add interesting charts, symbols, shapes, graphic signs, photos (our own or from the Prezi database), video files, animations, icons and so many elements that anyone's head can spin.

You can also brand your presentations with your own logo (removing the Prezi logo), which is extremely prestigious, but only available in higher, paid versions.

I would like to systematize below some interesting functionalities and advantages of Prezi, without focusing on all of them. I refer the curious to the website , where you will find much more information, directly from the creator.

So, among other things, why Prezi?
It works in the cloud, gives you the ability to share and co-create presentations, so corrections and new ideas can be introduced from anywhere, by anyone – up to 10 people at a time.
You can generate a link to share the presentation with others. So if you want, each of the training participants can return to it later.
The presentation can be downloaded directly to your computer and played even when you don't have Internet access. Just download the application - it's available for Windows and Mac. Important! The Public license doesn't provide this option. This is extremely important and we know this from our own experience, unfortunately. There was a situation when we used a different version a long time ago and the Internet in the mountains played tricks.
It is possible to save the finished presentation in PDF format and then send it further.
The presentation can be saved on a portable device such as a pendrive and run on any computer.
It is possible to watch presentations on mobile devices. There is an application available for iOS and Android.
Statistics – the presentation is made available “in the cloud” and the number of people viewing the presentation is recorded.
Disadvantages of Prezi
Things are never too rosy, so here too we'll throw a few pebbles into Prezi's garden.

The free version of Prezi can only be used on devices where you have internet access.
In the free version of Prezi, your presentations are publicly available (open source license) and anyone can use them through the so-called freemium model.
Some templates do not have Polish characters, so you should always keep this in mind.
The program is available in English only, although it is intuitive and possible without knowledge of the language.
Supposedly a major disadvantage, although I haven't noticed it personally, is the use of Zoom as a proxy that causes delays in operation.
An alternative to Prezi
Here I will write a bit the opposite, that the alternative is Power Point, although in reality Prezi is an alternative to Power Point. Power Point is very popular because it is part of the Microsoft Office suite and is free. The main differences between them are in the table below.
