Announcing performance improvements for models with calculation groups and format strings in Excel
This month, significant improvements have been made to MDX query performance, especially for models containing calculation groups and format strings.

These updates are designed to improve both the performance and reliability of Analyze in Excel operations for models including:

Calculated items with format strings.
Furthermore, these improvements extend to other MDX scenarios, meaning thailand telegram data that all client applications that use MDX to query semantic models with these features will also benefit from improved performance.



DLP policies restrict access actions for semantic models (preview)
This month, Power BI brings a major update to data security and management with the introduction of data loss prevention (DLP) policies for Fabric. Now in preview, these policies allow Purview administrators to have more granular control over access to semantic models based on the detection of sensitive information.

With this new functionality, compliance administrators can set up DLP policies that, upon identifying sensitive data, can automatically restrict access. This includes the ability to block access to guest users or limit it exclusively to the data administrator. Additionally, data administrators will receive notifications when their data is restricted, allowing them to take actions such as reporting issues or overriding policies if necessary.
