Step 2: Supporting your core message
Picture of ideasOnce you have formulated your core message, the next step is to present evidence that supports your core message. Without evidence, your core message is just a nicely worded sentence without any content. You can get this evidence from your resume.

What have you done and achieved, in your career and beyond, that supports your core message? Collect as many ideas as list to data possible. Everything is a potential piece of evidence to validate your core message. Don’t be too critical of your ideas at first, quality is not important at this point, quantity counts.

Write out everything you've done in detail. Then try to group all your ideas into topics: specific functions, areas of expertise, and industries. Once you've sorted all your ideas into topics, try to formulate one typical sentence for each topic based on the ideas.
Delete picture ideasIn this step, you make a critical selection of activities and results that support your core message. The goal is to keep only the strongest and most relevant ideas. Any ideas that do not sufficiently support your core message can be eliminated – no matter how interesting the idea itself is.
