Attracting new subscribers with a trailer
In the new design, YouTube gives you the option to show a trailer of up to one minute on your page. This trailer is only shown to people who are not yet subscribed to your channel. Very handy, because this way you can quickly show potential subscribers what your channel has to offer. By the way, you don't have to convince visitors to press play on the trailer, because it starts automatically. Handy!

A header for the branding
YouTube has also added a header, which reminds me a lot of the old Google+ header, except that Google list to data has placed the profile picture on the left with YouTube . The header is scaled and displayed on every device. For an optimal result on all screens (in connection with the scaling of the image), it is best to use one image of 2120 x 1192 pixels . There are also a few other points that you should take into account. YouTube has written a nice explanation for this .
Because the header is scaled, a constant factor is created for the branding on the different devices. Your channel is now (more or less) the same everywhere. Links to social networks (social icons) and merchandise can also be found in the header. These are visible in almost all (mobile) browsers. See the screenshot below.
