Ultra Wideband (UW) is the brand name Verizon is using to refer to their advanced 5G network, which combines both high-band and mid-band spectrum.

The name is meant to differentiate it from Verizon's more general '5G Nationwide' service.

5G UW uses millimeter wave (mmWave) iceland mobile database for the high-frequency band and C-band waves for the mid-frequency band, allowing for faster speeds and lower latency than regular 5G, but also covering a smaller area.

High speed and very low latency
Beyond the brand name, what makes 5G Ultra Wideband stand out is its blazing speeds and incredibly low latency, which is much better than traditional 5G networks.

5G UW offers speeds from 200-1000 Mbps, sometimes reaching several gigabits per second! Such high speeds allow us to watch 4K/8K movies, stream, play VR/AR or play games in real time smoothly. It is a huge leap compared to general 5G.
