Dock on a MacBook

Post by bitheerani319 »

Another annoying feature of the Mac out of the box for me was the default Dock settings. When you hovered over an application icon, it would grow to a very large size, which was annoying, to say the least. So it's best to change the default Dock animations right away:

Uncheck “Magnification” and customize all animations and sizes as you like. Here you can also customize which side of the desktop the Dock will be displayed on and whether to hide it. Personally, the most familiar option for me is to place it in the center. And even when switching to a computer running Windows 11, I placed “Start” and icons of frequent applications in the same way.

And macOS has a great feature called “Hot Corners.” They allow you to launch quick actions by simply moving the cursor to one of them. Once you use this feature once, you will never be able to give it up. It is configured as follows:

There is nothing complicated, but words cannot describe how much convenience active corners bring to already familiar work. If you have owned a Mac for a long time and have not launched this function, be sure to try it. I am sure that you will appreciate it.
