I don't think it's worth describing the entire disassembly process. The main thing is to make sure you have the necessary tools. A minimum set includes a Bako wrench or #1 pipe wrench, an adjustable wrench, Phillips and flat screwdrivers, at least #5, and a set of spare paronite gaskets. You'll also need about 60 cm of rubber hose, ? inches, with a metal clamp. In some water heaters, the tube may be larger, so make sure it's thick yourself. And of course, buy some anti-scale agent in advance at a hardware store, sold as a dry powder and diluted with hot water. If you're lucky, you can find it there, in a plastic bottle. It's better to buy 2 pieces, so that it's enough for two uses.
Antiscale
First, remove the fittings from the boiler - handles, etc. decide on the water supply pipes so as not to accidentally touch the gas.
Usually, everyone recommends removing the rich people data exchanger and washing it outside the column. We will do it differently.
Cleaning the column from scale.
After removing the casing from the gas water heater, shut off the water supply at the inlet and open any of the hot water taps closer to the water heater. Next, unscrew the feed tube from the heat exchanger of the instantaneous water heater and move it a little to the side. The heat exchanger is copper and the tube will allow us to do this without difficulty. As soon as you unscrew the nut from the heat exchanger, the water from the heat exchanger will begin to drain - the tap is open, we drain a little water, about a liter. To be precise, you can find the volume of water in the heat exchanger in the water heater's passport and drain a little more.
Next, we do the following: put the hose on the heat exchanger inlet, lift it higher than the column, insert a funnel into the hose and pour the prepared solution into it in a thin stream. Pour slowly, otherwise a reaction may start and the solution will be pushed back. The solution contains hydrochloric acid, it can cause burns. Protect your eyes especially.
The anti-scale solution should remain in the heat exchanger for a couple of hours. If you did not turn off the gas, and we did not recommend you do this, you can heat the solution on a burning pilot light. The reaction will go faster, it will take less time.
Then the casing. Remove the casing,
