Simply put, a heat exchanger is a regular coil that heats water. It can then be used at your discretion or to heat adjacent rooms, creating a closed circuit.
Types
The heat exchanger in the sauna stove allows you to solve mint data problems: heating water, using it for washing, heating the adjacent room. To heat the water, the coil can be inserted inside the stove. The liquid can also be in a tank, which will be heated directly from the wall of the stove. Another option is to use a heating circuit.
Depending on where the water container is located, the following types of heaters are distinguished:
The container is located directly in the steam room - allows the water to heat up faster, since there is no water supply or it is very short. Heat loss is also reduced. The disadvantage is quite obvious: the useful area of the steam room is reduced.
The tank is located in an adjacent room where a shower is equipped. This option is often recommended. It is more convenient to wash in a separate shower and there is more space in the steam room. But the length of the water supply increases.
The problem of weak pressure can be solved by installing a tank with a coolant in the attic. This method is also not without its drawbacks. It is necessary to bring cold water upstairs, and the length of the hot water supply is longer. The tank must be carefully insulated to minimize heat loss.
By location of the heat exchanger
Depending on the location of the heater itself, there are:
The heater is part of the stove itself. It is very difficult to repair such a heat exchanger. You will have to dismantle part of the stove. Keep in mind that scale will gradually reduce the efficiency to virtually zero (1 mm of scale reduces the efficiency by 10%).
