Explain clearly to your target group what your co-creation process entails. What can the participants contribute? What will be done with their input? What is the planning of the process? Describe what is possible, but also pay attention to what is not possible or permitted.

It can be useful to establish simple forms of conduct for your co-creation process, especially if the co-creation topic is sensitive to the target group. However, do not behave like a schoolmaster and treat the participants as adult discussion partners. The co-creation community often appears to have a great self-cleaning capacity.



Take your time
Setting up a co-creation process takes time. Start well before you georgia phone number list want the results, to get everyone on the same page internally and to involve external parties to develop the co-creation platform. Also, make sure you have internal backup: people also need to work with the results of co-creation.



Costs and benefits
Knowledge of what co-creation costs and what it can yield is necessary, but is not yet readily available. Map the costs and benefits, and use that insight for a next co-creation process. Evaluate both 'hard' and 'soft' benefits.



Share your results
There is a great need for lessons from practice. If you have experience with co-creation, share your lessons learned both within and outside the organization.
