If, as in the spring of this year, your own life takes place between home office , online lessons and video conferences with business partners, family and friends, it becomes clear once again what role digitalization plays and how important it is to make digital processes secure.
Against the background of this task for society as a whole, the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) is calling on institutions from band database government, business and society to participate in the European Cyber Security Month (ECSM) in October 2020. As a national coordination body, the BSI would like to attract partners who will participate in the European action month and work together to raise awareness of the issue of cyber security.
"The last few months have shown us how quickly our lives can shift, at least in part, into the digital space. There are also risks there that we need to protect ourselves against. Criminals in cyberspace are not sleeping. New opportunities to harm society on a small and large scale arise every day. As the federal cyber security authority, the BSI coordinates the measures across Germany. We call on companies , authorities, institutions and civil society organizations to participate in the ECSM and, with their commitment, to work with us to ensure that Germany becomes digitally secure," emphasizes BSI Vice President Dr. Gerhard Schabhüser.
