6. Lack of policies
Without clear staff training documents or customer service policies, you are likely to receive more negative reviews. Lack of a user-generated content policy for your website can result in spammy or abusive use of your blog/forum comments or on-site testimonials.
Don’t expect to open your doors on day one and crush all your online competitors the next. Don’t let any agency convince you that it’s going to be easy to dominate local or regional organic results. Your chile number data have likely worked long and hard to get where they are, and so should you. Create a realistic plan for financial survival until you reach the point where a good portion of your traffic and transactions are generated from your web presence. Be prepared to invest in PPC if you want initial traffic.
8. Lack of demand
Even the best local SEO in the world won’t be able to fulfill a business idea that’s a non-starter. Does your city need another laundromat when there are already 5 in your neighborhood, another bookstore with Amazon, a vegan restaurant in the mix when less than 1% of the local population eats that way? Maybe yes, maybe no. You might be able to generate demand with exceptional service and marketing, but don’t expect your local SEO marketer to be able to do it for you. Business research comes first, SEO comes second.
