Fix 8: Identify and stop scheduled tasks

Post by Rina7RS »

Open Windows Powershell or Windows Terminal from the Start menu.
Type Get-ScheduledTask | where {$_.settings.waketorun}in the Powershell window and press Enter. This will show you scheduled tasks that can wake your computer from sleep mode.

Now open the Start menu and search for Task Scheduler. Click Run as administrator to open it.

Once the Task Scheduler opens, click on the Task Scheduler Library on the left and navigate to the task you want to stop from running and wake up your computer.

Double-click the task, then click the Conditions tab at the jordan telegram data top and uncheck the Wake the computer to run this task checkbox.

Some useful tips
If you use wireless devices, such as a wireless mouse, be sure to turn them off before putting your computer to sleep. Accidental touches can cause these devices to wake up your computer.

Software updates and new hardware may change your power and sleep settings, so it's a good idea to check and adjust them periodically.

Depending on what is causing your Windows computer to wake up from sleep, you can try different solutions. Remember: When making changes to your system settings, it is recommended to first create a system backup in case something goes wrong.
