Open the WiFiman app on your smartphone and explore the 2.4 GHz wireless band . See how many networks are in your area and which channels are more crowded. As you can see, channels 10 to 13 are free in my area.
The first thing you should do when you return to your computer is click the Channel Bandwidth drop-down list and select the appropriate value. If you have a lot of people in your area, you should select a channel bandwidth of 20 MHz to minimize interference. However, if you have several free channels or networks with weaker signal strength, your best option would be to select 40 MHz instead of 20 MHz or 2040 MHz. This choice increases the channel bandwidth and provides maximum throughput on the 2.4 GHz wireless band. Applications that stream video or transfer files will benefit from a larger channel bandwidth.
Set the channel bandwidth to 2.4 GHz
Next, click the drop-down list next to Control Channel armenia telegram data and select a free channel from the list based on the data received from WiFiman .
Set the control channel to 2.4 GHz
Step 5: Set the channel bandwidth and control channel for the 5GHz band
Under Wireless - General, go to 5 GHz . If your router is dual-band, you will only see one section for 5 GHz. If your ASUS router is tri-band or quad-band, you will see two sections: 5 GHz-1 and 5 GHz-2.
But before you change any settings on your router, open the WiFiman app on your smartphone. Check the 5 GHz channel statistics to see which networks are more crowded in your area and which channels. As you can see, in my area, all the 5 GHz networks use the same channels, and I have a lot of spare channels that no one uses, from 52 to 68.
