The apartment where I tested the ASUS RT-BE58U

Wireless network performance
My test apartment is set up as shown in the diagram below. I placed the ASUS RT-BE58U in a central position to ensure good coverage over the largest possible area.

I evaluated the quality of the wireless network managed by this router using measurements taken in three different locations:

The room the router is in - I record the fastest speed when the room the router is in has no walls that absorb the wireless signal.
Room 1 is separated from the router by one wall, so macedonia mobile database the wireless signal and Wi-Fi speed should be lower here.
Room 2 - Separated from the router by two walls that absorb the wireless signal. In addition, the wall between Room 1 and Room 2 is twice as thick as the wall between the router room and Room 1. As a result, Room 2 can be a challenge for many routers.
I performed all measurements on an ASUS Zenbook S 16 laptop , which can work with Wi-Fi 7 networks. I used Windows 11 version 24H2 and the latest drivers and updates at the time of testing.

To get a better idea of how the ASUS RT-BE58U performs, I compared it to three other dual-band Wi-Fi 6 routers that have relatively similar overall maximum throughput: the TP-Link Archer AX55 , the ASUS TUF Gaming AX3000 V2 , and the Xiaomi Mi AIoT Router AX3600. This comparison is relevant because it shows whether this router can provide significant improvements over popular Wi-Fi 6 routers with relatively similar specs. I couldn’t compare the ASUS RT-BE58U to another Wi-Fi 7 router because I haven’t tested any of them yet. Let’s see how it stacks up.
