Tips for Keyword Research

Post by Rina7RS »

Keyword Priority List
How many keywords should you have? Well, we can't tell you the exact number of keywords you should have, but we can tell you that you need a lot of keywords - as many as you can think of. However, over 1,000 keywords might be too many! Even if you're a fairly small business, you'll probably end up with a few hundred keywords.

But there’s no need to create pages for all of them at once. You can add content little by little. Think about what keywords you want to rank for right now — maybe longer-tail ones? — and which ones are not as important. Understand your priorities and plan to create your content.

In the past, each keyword you wanted to be found for had its own landing page. However, these days, search engines are so smart that they mostly use search intent to provide the best answers to searchers. The pages that answer those questions best will rank at the top. Search engines also understand the subtle differences between keywords, so you don’t have to create landing pages for all the slight variations of your keyword, like synonyms.

This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use synonyms! In fact, synonyms can really improve the readability of your copy, so be sure to use them.

Add relevant key phrases to help Google understand your text
Related keywords are words and concepts that deepen and broaden the understanding of your focus key phrase. They even help Google better understand the topic you are talking about. By using related key phrases in your text, you can paint a complete picture of your focus key phrase in the article you are writing.
