Types and sizes of extensions: tips for choosing
You can make the extensions yourself or azerbaijan mobile database ready-made ones. The store will offer extension strips of standard sizes:

To calculate the width of the extension strip, add the depth of the groove in the frame to the width of the slope, or subtract the width of the frame from the thickness of the wall, taking into account the groove.

For particularly thick walls, the width of the extension can reach 40 cm or more, but such strips are made to order. The thickness of the extension strip should not exceed the width of the groove in the door frame.

Based on design features, extension strips are divided into:

ordinary;
regular with edge banding;
telescopic.
The simplest extension is a straight strip of fiberboard (MDF) or laminate without a facing edge. Many craftsmen believe that gluing a facing edge to the ends is a waste of time and money. After all, one end fits tightly to the door frame, and the other will be covered with a trim. But in this case, installation must be done with special care, because even a deviation of a couple of millimeters will give away a novice craftsman: the gray untreated edge will be conspicuous.

If the end of the extension is pre-covered with an edge tape, selected tone on tone, minor flaws will be unnoticeable. The edge itself costs pennies, and you can glue it in a few minutes using a regular iron. This method is also preferable because edging the ends prevents the MDF board from swelling under the influence of moisture. This is especially important for door units in kitchens and bathrooms.
