Researchers use what they call the “average temperature in the hospital.” If the peak is on Wednesday evening, it doesn’t mean you’ll have the same: maybe your audience watches videos early in the morning while riding a taxi or bus to work. So it’s best to find the right time to upload specifically for your channel. It only takes two steps.
Finding the peak of activity
You can view the characteristics of your YouTube audience in the Creative Studio. Log in there and go to the Analytics tab → Audience. The path is exactly the same in the Studio mobile app.

Scroll down the tab and you will reach the activity information: this is the item “When your viewers watch videos on YouTube.” It highlights the hours of greatest activity in the brightest color.

This is what the analytics on viewer activity looks like
The report collects data not only about subscribers, but instagram data also about those who watch your videos without subscribing. However, it does not reflect views of your videos specifically, but the time when viewers use YouTube.
In general, you can and should focus on this data - if you release a new video when viewers are on the video hosting site, the chance of getting additional views is much higher. In our example, in most cases, videos are watched on weekdays at 17:00-20:00 and a little - at 12:00 on Sunday. This means that you need to publish videos so that they are already out by this time.
Finding the best time to publish a video
It's simple: subtract 1-2 hours from the peak of activity - and you get the best time to publish a video on YouTube. In our case, it is 16:00 every day and 11:00 on Sunday.
You can also focus on additional indicators. For example, on the income received from residents of different countries. It may be that users from the USA watch you early in the morning and are marked in a light color on the diagram, but they bring in more money than the main audience.
To find out, take a look at the Most Popular Regions report, which is located on the same tab. It shows the countries that have the most of your viewers.
