Regina Llopis Ada Byron Award 2017 for Women in Technology

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Deusto has paid tribute to the professional career of Regina Llopis, a doctor in Mathematics Applied to Artificial Intelligence, and has awarded her the Ada Byron Award for Women in Technology. This award, worth 3,000 euros, was created four rcs data belarus ago by the prestigious university to encourage female vocations in the field of technological research and development , to highlight the importance of technology in all areas of life and social development, as well as to give value to the work and technological achievements that women have contributed to humanity.
In addition to her PhD in Mathematics, Regina Llopis' extensive CV is completed with various qualifications in subjects such as business leadership, management of technology companies, senior management programmes, business strategies for telecommunications and internet companies, and others related to the presence and leadership of women in the business world. In this sense, in 2009 the newspaper El País included Llopis in the group of the hundred most relevant personalities of that year . Among her achievements, it is also worth highlighting the publication of numerous articles in specialized magazines and forums.
This is not the first award she has received: her career has earned her several personal and corporate awards, including the 2015 IWEC AWARD (IWEC – International Entrepreneurial Challenge Foundation, created by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce and the FICCI/FLO (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Ladies Organization). In addition, in 2010, the AIA Group received the award for Innovative Company at the 2nd Edition of the Ascamm Innovation Awards.
