From the new version onwards

Post by rumana777 »

Version 85 of the Chrome web browser is scheduled to be released on August 25th . And once again, it brings with it an innovation that will require some website operators to do extra work. In the new version, particularly fast websites will be given a special notice. Google reported this in its Chromium blog. The mobile version of the web browser is shown there. If a user is surfing the World Wide Web and taps on a link and holds their finger on it for a second or two, a context menu opens. Here, the user can decide, among other things, whether they want to open the link in a new tab or copy it to the clipboard.

Hidden "Fast page" feature particularly fast pages will be marked with the note "Fast page" in this context menu. This function will be relatively hidden. However, the procedure brings back rcs data hong kong memories of previous introductions of new features. For example, when visiting unencrypted pages, a subtle note was initially displayed, which later became a conspicuous warning message in some Chrome versions, which can sometimes deter visitors from visiting the affected page.

Unencrypted pages do not pose any risk in themselves - it only becomes critical when they contain contact forms or other data is requested from the visitor. Since short loading times are an important factor, especially in the mobile sector, it can be assumed that this function will one day be given a more prominent position. It is apparently only intended for the mobile version of the Chrome browser so far. It remains to be seen whether and when it will be introduced in the desktop version. If this feature is expanded in the future and placed in a more prominent position, this would put website operators under pressure to optimize their own pages so that they also receive this notice in order not to alienate visitors
