Creating a website layout in Word

Post by maksudasm »

Word is a program for creating and processing paper documents. There, a certain page size, fonts, and general design are set. But the thing is that not all users (who want to view the site) will see all these parameters displayed correctly. Word is designed to work with a fixed document, and the web page code has a non-standard paper style. It may turn out that the display you expected will be normal only in Internet Explorer (because it is also a program from Microsoft), and in other browsers everything will be distorted.

5 steps to create a website layout

How to create a website layout in Word:

Open the Word program.

On the page, type the word "Homepage".

Click File ® Save as Webpage. If mexico email listyou have Office 2007 installed, the path is: Office button ® Save As ® Other Formats.

Save the page as html. In Office 2007 it is different: go to the menu "Save as type" and set the file type there to "Web Page".

Now you can work in the outline mode. Visually, the page looks like a simple Word document. Try to enter something on it, any text. For example, write "My home page".

To make sure Word remembers the changes you make to a web page every time, click Save often.

You can create as many of these pages as you like. The scheme is the same. Below is a description of the steps for creating a hyperlink.

Below the text, write "Link to homepage".

Select the text itself.

Click Insert ® Hyperlink. This action is the same for all office packages.

Find the html file.

Now select it and click "OK". This will create a hyperlink. Now when you click on it in your browser, it will take you to another page on the site.

You can place a hyperlink to a third-party site. Open the Insert Hyperlink dialog box and enter the website address in the Address field.

Repeat these steps until you have placed everything you need on your site.
