One of the main challenges of education today is to be agile in adapting to new skills, tools and work methodologies that are developing at a very dynamic pace within the digital industries. At Brainster Next College , we have several mechanisms at our disposal to ensure agility in the curriculum, but a very important aspect is the subjects and what our students who study Software Engineering and Innovation study . In order to describe the subjects in detail and how our students learn, we created the Subjects Up Close series.

One of the subjects without which the study program at Brainster Next College cannot be imagined is Web Applications. Professor Nikola Kusibojoski introduces us closely to everything that is taught in this subject.

"First we start with the history of the internet, the web, and how web applications work. Then we continue with the study of specific technologies. First, HTML 5, then CSS 3, and finally JavaScript," says Kusibojoski.

In addition to regular professors, industry experts from the country and abroad, our students will have the opportunity to learn from guest lecturers in certain subjects, who are proven professionals in their fields. They will bring theory closer to students in a practical way and prepare them for the most sought-after skills in the labor market.

One of our guest lecturers that our students really enjoyed is Gorjan Jovanovski, the creator of the famous My Air app, eco-activist, and software engineer.

Linear algebra is a subject that our students are introduced to right away in the first semester. Mastering all the details of this mathematical branch is of particular importance for the future learning process and the ability to solve problems, which our students from Brainster Next College will find important for their further career development.

The two general goals of the course are increased awareness and knowledge of the importance of linear algebra in various computer science topics, and students' knowledge of the importance of linear algebra in manipulating data structures, but what is interesting and is being applied for the first time in our country is that the course is fully implemented in the Python programming language.
