The important thing was not the number

but to avoid duplicating the appeal of the assets.

In order to increase relevance to search terms, the more assets you have, the better.
If the ad copy displayed to users is biased like the example above, it will not lead to an increase in clicks.

After much trial and error with responsive marketing with stockholder database search ads, we now set the number of assets to 10 titles and 3 descriptions.

As we manage our advertising, we are periodically changing assets to track changes in performance and search for good combinations.

Headline text length
According to Google Ads help, for responsive search ads, "You don't need to create multiple headlines of different lengths and use the maximum character limit for all of them."

However, from my experience, it seems that if the number of characters is small, it is less likely to be selected.

*Testing revealed that the number of characters did not affect the number of times an asset was displayed.

Create one responsive search ad per ad group
If you have multiple responsive search ads in an ad group, Google Ads will not be optimized well and will be less effective.

Pay attention to the timing of ad review completion
After you submit a responsive search ad, the status may be "Active" instead of "Approved."

This means that some of the asset combinations have been approved, and only some of the assets can be published.
When the status becomes "Approved", all of the assets you have set will be available for publication.

By the way, the same mechanism works when you modify an asset.
The display will change from "Under review" to "Valid" to "Approved."

However, ad delivery will be temporarily stopped, so we recommend that you create and add new responsive search ads.

*Please note that even if you delete an asset, its status will remain "Under review."
