You can find visual-level formatting strings in the formatting panel of a visual, under the General > Data Formatting section.


Last month, you could only enter a custom format string in this section. This month, the formatting options on the ribbon have been aligned to make visual formatting even more powerful and simple. This includes formatting settings like Text, Currency, and Integer, and for number formats, options like thousands separator and number of decimal places.

In the Model View Properties panel, if you want to enter a custom format string, you can do so by selecting “Custom.”
