Types of connectors in English

W hen we have talked about connectors on the blog we have limited ourselves to conjunctions and prepositions. Remember that a conjunction serves to join two sentences ( clauses ) within a larger sentence that forms a grammatical unit ( sentence ).


Prepositions do the same thing as conjunctions, but at the phrase level (grammatical units of a lower level than the clause ). Although we will not talk about prepositions on this occasion, you can review them in previous posts .
