The Association for Media Research (AIMC) has presented the results of the 11th Survey of Internet Users (Surfers on the Net). The aim is to find out the profile of Internet users, since currently more than 45% of the population over 14 years of age uses the Internet and this figure increases every year. In this edition it again obtained more than 40,000 valid responses compared to the 10,000 of the first edition carried out in 1996.
The study, active from October to December, has bc data mexico established itself as one of the fundamental studies for analyzing and understanding the behavior of Internet users in our country, where their behavior is evolving, what problems they encounter, how they interact through the network, and what applications and systems are most successful.
Social networks seduce Spaniards
Half of Spanish Internet users, 50.8%, are registered on a social network such as Tuenti or Facebook. A quarter, 23.4%, are registered on more than one and personal relationships are the main use of this phenomenon (71.7%) followed by sharing hobbies (32.6%) and work relationships.
In fact, the use of social networks is intense, with more than a quarter of those interviewed using them daily and 41% connecting at least once a week. It is worth noting that in the 2007 study by 'Navegantes en la Red', Facebook and Tuenti were ranked 72 and 159 in the ranking of websites; such has been their rise that in just one year, they have moved up to 8 and 10 positions, respectively.
