Don't ask me how someone who hated social media ended up in digital marketing. When Facebook was first launched, I think I was the only person in college (or at least in my group) who didn't have a public profile. It was really annoying.
I didn't understand people who opened profiles (I didn't even try to understand them), who posted stupid pictures and memes, who liked each other's posts and, worst of all, showed others something interesting that they denmark whatsapp list found, seen or read on the aforementioned social network. The situation was similar with Instagram and all the other social networks that were new and current at the time, and not the least bit interesting to me.
What changed? Digital marketing emerged, which is perfectly aligned with my interests and hobbies, and social media went from being a place for posting nonsense to a place perfect for branding, sales, advertising, and presenting your business to the world.
If we ignore the business side of social networks, the fact remains that these are very tiring places that I don't like to use for private purposes and that annoy me more than entertain me, and are even less relaxing.
In order not to come off as a total hypocrite who has active profiles on more than one social network, and here writes a hateful text about how he doesn't like them (which he will then share on those same hated social networks), perhaps it would be better to correct myself and say that I have nothing against social networks in general, as much as I am annoyed by certain details related to them.
Let's see what gets on my nerves, and maybe you'll agree with me.

Obsession with numbers
Why anyone would bother with how many followers and likes they have on Instagram is beyond my comprehension. The same goes for business profiles that have no expectations from digital marketing other than to increase their follower count. So much for ambitious goals.
Numbers mean nothing except that they feed the ego. Since I have a problem with egoists, or rather, I don't like them, it probably doesn't need any further explanation as to why I don't like people who are obsessed with vain and superficial measures of success on the internet.
Waste of time
There's no more effective time waster than social media. You look at one picture of a cat climbing a curtain and 4 hours later realize you've already watched 626 cat videos, 478 dog videos, 379 baby videos, and a fair amount of videos you'd rather not talk about because you're not even sure what the point of them is.
It's fun and useful to sometimes waste time doing nothing because we can't always be useful to ourselves and society and be super productive, but wasting time on social media every day, all day? Really?
What about doing something that will actually benefit you? I don't know...learn a new language, read a book, start playing sports, go outside, hang out with family and friends offline, take pictures, do yoga, cook lunch, learn to cook lunch, find a better job, start your own business, lose those extra unhealthy pounds, learn to program, sign up for an interesting course, join a butterfly club, jump out of a plane (with a parachute, of course), pay for a trip, earn money for the trip if you don't have it right now...
What don't I like about social media?
