Facebook continues where Google leaves off
The new Graph Search has a completely different approach than current search engines. With Google and other search engines, you use combinations of words to get the best search results. With Graph Search, you combine fixed short sentences to find people, locations, photos and other things.

To give an example. If we search on Google for the search term Apple Amsterdam, then all users get the same answer, this could possibly be the right result. With Graph Search you can search for friends who like Apple in Amsterdam. The search results that you see will then differ from the same search from another user. If someone enters the same search, something different will come out list to data every time. Even if someone has exactly the same friends as me, the search results will still be different. This is because everyone has a different relationship with their friends, according to Tom Stocky of Facebook.

With search in the new Facebook sociogram, you can search for people, places, and things. Graph Search is currently in beta, but the tool will be rolled out and further developed over the coming year. So what exactly can you do with the new search engine?

It is possible to search through people, pages, friends, photos and other content that has been shared with you on Facebook. Think of education, birthplace, current city, interests, locations, restaurants, movies and many more things that users like.
