In the second quarter of 2020, VKontakte introduced new targeted advertising tools: promotion of personal pages, price management, music targeting, automatic promotion of products, contextual targeting, and advertising in Clips.

Promotion of personal pages
In the spring, VKontakte launched open testing of the "Personal Page Advertisement" format: it is similar to the "Website Advertisement" format, but for promotion it uses only a link to a personal page on the social network facebook database or a post on it. The advertisement does not require a link to a VKontakte community, and the transition is carried out by clicking on any area.
Scope: for bloggers or media personalities whose goal is to attract users to their page.
Advantages : advertising the entire page, rather than individual posts, helps attract new subscribers and increase audience engagement. The format is effective in promoting a personal brand.
Disadvantages: There is no guarantee that users will subscribe to you. Even with click-through purchasing, the audience will simply go to your page and only then decide on their own to subscribe.
How to set up: go to your advertising account and select the format "Personal page advertising". Enter the URL of your page or a separate publication.
