London, UK, April 26, 2011 – comScore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a leader in measuring the digital world, today released a study of social networking usage in the Netherlands based on the comScore Media Metrix service. The study reveals that the Dutch social networking market continues to grow strongly as sites like Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin extend their respective footprints in the market.

With social media, better contact with customers can be achieved. Social media are particularly suitable for SMEs. Where large companies often have great difficulty integrating social media into the organization, SMEs are very suitable to be successful in social media due to their short lines of communication and strong customer orientation.

According to the recent report by Boston Consultancy Group (commissioned by Google), entrepreneurs in the SME sector, who are active on the internet, realized an average turnover growth of 3 percent in recent years. SMEs that are not paraguay phone number list active online, achieved no growth in the same period.

A are still missing out on many opportunities. “The Netherlands is one of the international leaders in embracing the internet. But despite the fact that almost everyone has internet, online purchasing, marketing and sales are still relatively limited in companies,” according to BCG. So to realize the growth towards 2015, we all have to work hard. That is understandable, because for small and medium-sized SMEs, setting up and maintaining their own website is a lot of work and requires a lot of organization, which is often not available. Outsourcing is therefore often too expensive.
