How to Enable Show Desktop Button on Windows 11 Taskbar

Post by Rina7RS »

The Show Desktop button on the Windows taskbar is a quick and easy way to minimize all open windows and get a clear view of your desktop. This can be useful if you want to find a file on your desktop, check your wallpaper, or minimize all application windows to hide them in a jiffy.

However, if you recently updated to Windows 11 and the Show Desktop button is missing, don't worry! It's easy to get it back.

Why is the button gone? In a recent Windows 11 update, the Copilot button was moved to the right end of the taskbar, causing the Show Desktop shortcut button to disappear. However, this is not the Copilot's fault.

Microsoft sometimes changes the default Windows taskbar settings when updating. In a recent Windows 11 update, the Show Desktop button may have been disabled by default. And you can fix that by simply looking in the Taskbar Behavior settings.

Follow these steps to enable it:

Find an empty space on your Windows 11 taskbar ecuador telegram data and right-click on it.
From the context menu, select Taskbar settings. You can also manually navigate to Settings>> Personalization.Taskbar

In the Taskbar settings window, scroll down and find the Taskbar Behavior section. Then click on it to expand it.

Find the option called “Select the far corner of the taskbar to show the desktop.” Then make sure the option is checked.
