3.- Find out the popularity of Google ads in your sector

Post by Irfanabdulla1111 »

As we mentioned before, PLAs or Google Shopping Results allow you to place your products prominently, right at the top right of the search results, above the normal Google Ads ads.

As a result, these featured snippets help consumers navigate your products.

Google Shopping ads typically get higher CTR rates than regular ads.

On the other hand, despite getting more traffic, more clicks mean more money spent from your advertising budget.

The question is: should you use PLAs or focus on an organic strategy and support it with standard Google Ads?

It's worth investigating how your competitors are using PLAs to better understand how other players in the ecommerce scene can pave your way to success.

After analyzing nearly 8,000 ecommerce websites from 13 different sectors for our Annual Ecommerce Study , we found that electronics, clothing, home and garden, and sports are the sectors that use Google Shopping ads the most.

SEO and PPC - Keywords and Ads Charts
If your industry has little competition on Google Shopping and there are few companies using PLAs, you will most likely take advantage of this opportunity to drive traffic to your website in this way.

In this case, Google Shopping ads will be less expensive per conversion than paid search and display ads.

Please note, however, that PLA is only applicable to e-commerce businesses that use the Google Merchant Center, where your Google Shopping inventory is set up.

To get started, you need to upload your inventory to your Google Merchant account and then set up your PLAs.

If you work in a niche where many competitors use PLAs, reallocating your budget among other channels can be a good idea, especially if you have a small e-commerce.

It makes no sense for small businesses with limited budgets to compete with the big white sharks of ecommerce on Google Shopping.

To create a list of ads for your products that will compete with your most direct competitors, you can use the PLA Research tool , which will serve as a source of competitive intelligence information for e-commerce websites.

To get started, head over to the PLA Rankings report and enter your competitor's domain.

You'll see the number of keywords for which your competitor's PLAs appeared in paid search results and the number of their ads on Google Shopping.

Below these numbers, you'll see a graph showing how many rankings a given domain has gained and email list providers in france how many PLAs were executed during a specific period of time.
