Anti-Semitic Clichés in "Geri-Gate"

Post by asimj1 »

My dear "SonntagsZeitung" readers, if you are surprised that in yesterday's edition of your favorite newspaper, "Grüsel-Geri" ("Blick") mutates from perpetrator to victim, then don't be surprised. The author of the various articles about him, Martin Stoll, is a long-time media informant for Geri M. It is therefore clear that the "SonntagsZeitung" has taken Müller's side. Stoll, as he proves in this edition, misses no opportunity to denigrate Geri Müller's main foreign policy opponent Josef Bollag, the head of the Israelite Religious Community of Baden, and to portray him as a dangerous mastermind in the service of Israel and the Jews.

The article by Stoll's "SonntagsZeitung" colleague qatar rcs data Catherine Boss fits into this picture. She describes Bollag as the "rich" Jew and "Machiavellian puppet master" who has a "large network of contacts in Switzerland, Israel, and even the USA." And this network is controlled by the "powerful president of the local religious community," who has laboriously "worked his way up" (why not: worked his way up?) from poor circumstances to his "villa with a pool that towers high above Baden." In this way, Boss, just like her colleague Stoll, diligently serves the well-known anti-Semitic clichés. (Because: what do Bollag's origins, wealth, and living situation have to do with this whole affair?).

Geri Müller's lawyer Andreas Meili also plays a dubious role in the whole thing. According to the "NZZ am Sonntag", he disclosed details of the young woman's interrogation to the media, although such interrogations are confidential.
