Structure of the Basic Management Cycle

Post by maksudasm »

There are 4 basic concepts of enterprise management. The manager must have the skills of planning, control, motivation and have organizational skills. These are the main functions of the management cycle. If even one of these elements is weak or incorrectly performed, the process is disrupted, which leads to an imbalance in the organization. Thus, the following elements of the management cycle can be distinguished:

Planning

First, you should define the goal, formulate the result that needs to be achieved and think over the methods for implementing the tasks set. To do this, you should create an action plan or roadmap.

At this stage, the current macedonia email list state is analyzed, potential risks are identified, and expected performance is forecasted. It is important to have a clear idea of how all processes are carried out and what aspects need to be improved.

Research (Do)

At this second stage, conditions are created for the implementation of the previously developed strategy. It is necessary to provide training for personnel so that marketers and sales specialists clearly understand the goals of the current step and know what the enterprise will monitor. The work is carried out using the methods developed at the first stage.

In accordance with the Deming-Shewhart management cycle, this phase should include the principles of piloting and testing changes.

The key point is continuous monitoring and analysis of the process dynamics. This point is the basis for the successful application of such a management approach.

Control (Check)

This element of the management cycle contains tasks of verification and analysis of the achieved results. It is important to find out the current direction of the process: are there improvements or are things going worse. At the same time, it is necessary to determine the reasons for what is happening. When the enterprise has not achieved its intended goals, it is necessary to find out why.

Returning to our example with the sales department, it is necessary to carefully study the statistical calculations, make forecasts for the future, and evaluate the current results. Systematic control ensures the absence of errors in the future, allows you to implement the necessary changes much faster.

At this stage, it is necessary to evaluate and compare the data for compliance with the predicted indicators. It is necessary to consider the indicators obtained during the experiments. The list of actions at this stage includes the implementation of the project if good results are obtained. Otherwise, it is necessary to return to the initial phase of the Deming cycle to make certain adjustments.

Impact (Act)

The stage is the final one within the management cycle. Here it is necessary to make the appropriate adjustments to the enterprise's work. It is important to eliminate errors in production processes and document the achieved results (enter them into regulations, standards, job descriptions). The final stage of the cycle is the stage at which the foundation for the transition to a new iteration is laid (return to the initial phase - planning).

The list of the manager's main actions within this phase includes standardization of the results obtained as a result of the experiments. In addition, the analysis is completed and key points for monitoring are recorded. The manager must monitor the changes made and determine the start time for the development of the subsequent management cycle.
