What are Shoppable Image Ads?
In short, shoppable image ads are – as the name suggests – advertisements consisting of an image and a price .
Unlike the usual Google Shopping ads, these image ads do not provide any additional product information. On the one hand, the shoppable image ads are displayed in the display network - i.e. on third-party websites - and on the other hand in the search network and thus in search engines. The placement of advertisements in the display network must be distinguished from retargeting (also called remarketing). Retargeting refers to tracking a visitor to your website who leaves it without a lead - i.e. an interaction such as placing an order, signing up for a newsletter, etc. -. Targeted advertising on other websites is intended to reawaken their interest in the products they have already viewed. Shoppable image ads, on the other hand, are placed contextually on other websites without prior evaluation of user behavior.

The search behavior of consumers during the holiday season led Google to introduce the new Shoppable Ads. According to Google, 1/3 of these buyers first look for images of the products before visiting a store - online or in-store. The age of influencers and their styling tips also illustrates the relevance of images as inspiration .
With shoppable image ads, your shopping ads can be placed on spain phone data the websites - or more precisely on the existing image content - of selected publishers. An example: on a street style blog, the user can find an outfit combination and styling tips for inspiration. By clicking on the "Shop this Style" button on the image, the user is shown a selection of similar products. If they click on an article, they are taken directly to the provider's website. This year, more publishers will be joining the display network. Google image search will also show shoppable image ads. There are two ad formats here : firstly, the shoppable image ads will be placed in a new field above the organic results, and secondly, you will find them in the middle of the image results. In both formats, they are marked with the tag “Sponsored” .
